Hawaii-FineArt.com is the Official Fine Art and Hawaiian Stock Photography Galleries of Stan P. Cox II, (SPC II).

I have been an artist since I was born. My dad was a prodigy at the piano at age 5 and played professionally throughout his life. I grew up immersed in beautiful music, and fascinated with beautiful and imaginative paintings, sculpture and photographic images. I began copying paintings of the great masters by age 5, and copied by hand the entire collection of encyclopedia Britanica's transparency overlay study of the human body for my 2nd grade art project. People have remained my favorite subject all my life.

I've always loved sketching, and still do. I fell in love with watercolor in junior high school, but as a Sophomore in high school I really discovered photography. I was given a Yashica twin lens reflex camera and a couple rolls of Tri-X B&W film. What an experience! I signed up for Photography 101 in my Junior year. I carried my camera with me to the shopping mall and busied myself by photographing the most obscure things I could find, but also, and often more frequently....pretty girls! It was wonderful the way pretty girls would respond to me and my camera! I was forever hooked!

People have remained my favorite to photograph, especially to create story-telling portraits of, but when I moved to Hawaii in 1976, the Landscapes, Cloudscapes and Flowers demanded my attention! So, as an artist I have captured some of the awesome images the Hawaiian islands present. I can only hope that these images presented here will invoke in you the thoughts of peace, beauty and awe that they did for me.

When I studied with the New York Institute of Photography, (graduated 1982), among other things, I learned the art of lighting and photographing still lifes and products. I discovered that I really enjoyed creating artful images of things ...And I enjoy the challenge of creating beautiful, and powerful, and descriptive Product and Lifestyle images. And as Director of Photography for Paramount Photography Hawaii, I have had the opportunity to work on many assignments to produce advertising and editorial photography for quite a range of clients. Some of the more 'generic' images are offered here for commercial licensing as Stock Photography.

All of the images presented here are available for purchase as Fine Art Prints, or as Stock Images for commercial use. Each image is accompanied by an order form. This is not a "Real Time" Shopping cart, but a means to inform me of what you would like to order.
